March 2017 – Chaffetz Lindsey will be sponsoring the 13th Annual ICDR Y&I Coffee House Debate at which associate Gretta Walters will be speaking. The ICDR Y&I event takes place annually on the event of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria.
The event will take place on April 9, 2017 at the Palais Daun-Kinsky, located at Freyung 4, Vienna, Austria. Registration will begin at 12:00 with the debate taking place from 12:30-14:30. The two debate propositions are:
- You spilled my coffee – I’m not paying for you! Debate proposition: A party allegedly harmed by another’s conduct shouldn’t have to advance the other’s costs just to get justice.
- Waiter, just bring our coffees and stay out of it! Debate proposition: The increased power of arbitral institutions has come at the expense of party autonomy.
