Boris Ayala joined Chaffetz Lindsey in July 2010. He previously worked at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, where he was a litigation associate. Boris has substantial experience representing clients such as banks, insurance companies, real estate developers, and accounting firms in complex litigation matters. He also has represented bank directors and company executives in SEC and DOJ investigations and in securities litigation. While at Davis Polk, Boris investigated alleged FCPA violations by a multinational energy and industrial conglomerate. His pro bono work focuses on the representation of criminal appeals. Prior to law school, Boris worked in three organizations within the United Nations system, and managed health and education projects in Africa and South Asia for two years before law school.
Boris is fluent in French and Spanish. He is a 2006 graduate of New York University Law School, where he was a Notes Editor of the New York University Law Review and a recipient of three named scholarships. He graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College in 1999.
