Prior to joining Chaffetz Lindsey, Erin Valentine was an associate with the International Justice Network, where she represented clients in habeas proceedings at both the trial and appellate court levels. Erin graduated in 2009 from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she was a James Wilson Scholar, a Senior Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Journal of International Law, and the recipient of the Blank Rome Alvin Ackerman Prize. While in law school, Erin founded International Human Rights Advocates, a student-run organization geared towards providing students with pro bono opportunities in the international human rights sector. She also co-authored a report advising the Ugandan government on a strategy for holding the Lord’s Resistance Army accountable while comporting with both international and domestic notions of justice and reconciliation.

Prior to law school, Erin worked with Amnesty International and volunteered in West Bengal, India, with the Institute for Motivating Self-Employments. Erin holds a BA in International Studies from the University of California, Irvine. Erin has traveled extensively in Africa, Asia, Central and North America, and Europe.

Erin is a member of the Bar of the state of New York, the American Society of International Law, and the New York City Bar Association.
