Jennifer represents domestic and international clients, including private entities and foreign sovereigns, in commercial and public international arbitration and domestic litigation before state and federal courts. Her substantial arbitration experience includes representing clients in a wide variety of disputes before the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), and the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).
Before joining Chaffetz Lindsey, Jennifer was a senior associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen Hamilton LLP. Jennifer has represented an Italian telecommunications company in the successful settlement of an investment dispute with the Plurinational State of Bolivia, a leading global financial institution in connection with ICC arbitration against a German bank arising out of the purchase of a multi-billion euro non-performing loan portfolio, and the former CEO of an Eastern European real estate investment company in a contract dispute concerning option rights before the LCIA. She has also advised on a multi-billion dollar ICSID arbitration concerning defaulted sovereign debt, and has counseled various Latin American energy, gas, and mining companies on commercial and investment treaty disputes. Currently, Jennifer’s work includes representing the Republic of Liberia in an ICSID dispute brought by a Canadian mining company, as well as several multinational insurance companies in a series of commercial arbitrations against both domestic and international counterparties.
Jennifer clerked for the Honorable Miriam Goldman Cedarbaum of the Southern District of New York. She is a 2004 cum laude graduate of Harvard Law School, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard International Law Journal. She earned her B.A. summa cum laude from the Florida State University in 2001. Her publications include US Supreme Court Limits The Ability of Arbitrators to Order Class Arbitration, Mealey’s International Arbitration Report, Vol. 25, No. 6 (June 2010).
Jennifer sits on the International Law Committee of the New York City Bar Association. She is a native English speaker and is proficient in Spanish.
