Eli has experience representing clients in complex civil litigation and government investigations. He has represented financial institutions and corporate clients in connection with class actions involving CEA, antitrust, and securities law claims and in investigations by the DOJ, CFTC, and other regulators.


Eli served as a law clerk for the Honorable William F. Kuntz, II (United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, 2018).  Prior to joining Chaffetz Lindsey, Eli was an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP.

Representative Matters

  • Representing steel companies in federal lawsuit challenging the Department of Commerce’s denial of exclusions from the Section 232 steel tariffs.
  • Representing an insurer in a coverage dispute related to alleged costs and losses arising out of the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Representing a US-Mexican JV in an ICDR arbitration against a major international construction company over the construction of a windfarm in Mexico.
  • Representing an international insurance company in an ad hoc arbitration against a policyholder’s captive reinsurer concerning reinsurance coverage for the policies issued to the policyholder.
  • Representing a Swiss company with investments in Peru in a New York-seated ICC arbitration regarding alleged equipment defects at a Peruvian mine.
