Karina represents clients in a variety of industries in international and domestic arbitration and handles complex disputes matters, including cross-border litigation, business reorganization, technology and internet law, construction, infrastructure, telecommunications, complex contract disputes, and product liability.

Karina has represented foreign and national companies before Brazilian courts and international arbitral tribunals.

Karina represents clients in international and domestic commercial arbitrations under the ICC, UNCITRAL, AmCham, CAM-CCBC, CAMARB, ICDR rules, and in litigation before Brazilian courts. Her cases focus on matters of cross-border litigation, business reorganization, technology and internet law, construction, telecommunications, product liability, complex contract disputes, and matters at the intersection of common and civil law. Prior to joining Chaffetz Lindsey, Karina practiced for more than 10 years at top-tier law firms in Brazil. Karina is a native Portuguese speaker.

  • Advised one of the largest global private equity funds in multiple court disputes and arbitrations related to the divestment of its position in an education conglomerate in Brazil.*
  • Advised a service leading company focused on the development and commercialization of audits and reports of the prescriptions and sales markets for the pharmaceutical industry in an arbitration and judicial dispute involving trade secrets and competition.*
  • Advised a gaming developer in pre-litigation contractual dispute related to publishing and distribution agreement violations.*
  • Advised the American largest multinational technology company in multiple court disputes related to its most profitable product related to trademark violation and competition.*
  • Advised an American multinational technology conglomerate in disputes related to logic gate and access records.*
  • Advised the largest Italian Television Broadcaster in a judicial court dispute related to arbitration award enforcement.*
  • Advised an Arabic energy company on pre-litigation dispute related to infrastructure and supply chain violation agreement.*
