Luísa has represented private and State-owned entities in domestic and international arbitrations. She has also acted as tribunal secretary as well as worked with legal experts in arbitration proceedings.

Prior to joining Chaffetz Lindsey, Luísa gathered substantial experience in infrastructure and State-related disputes while working in one of Brazil’s leading administrative law boutiques.

Representative Matters

  • Represents a Mexican wind turbine supplier and its German parent company in an ICC arbitration against Mexican wind farm owners arising from EPC and O&M contracts.
  • Represented a Brazilian construction company in an ICC arbitration against a Brazilian State-owned enterprise arising from the procurement of construction works within a ring road project.*
  • Tribunal Secretary in a CAMARB arbitration between a Brazilian State and a concessionaire concerning the procurement for construction and concession for operation of a soccer stadium.*
  • Part of legal expert team in an ad hoc arbitration under the UK Arbitration Act between a Korean heavy equipment manufacturer and a BVI company arising from a contract for sale of a drilling ship.*
  • Represented a consortium of heavy equipment transportation in a CAM-CCBC arbitration involving a Brazilian consortium of energy and construction companies and a Chinese State-owned energy conglomerate concerning transportation services within a Brazilian State-owned energy project. Represented the same client in related litigation against a Brazilian State-owned enterprise.*
  • Represented a Brazilian agent in a SHIAC arbitration against two Chinese commodity trading companies arising out of multiple commercial contracts.*
  • Represented a Brazilian construction company in multiple CAM-CCBC arbitrations against toll road concessionaires arising out of roadway construction contracts.*
  • Represented a Brazilian concessionaire in a CAMARB arbitration against a Brazilian Municipality arising out of a water and sewerage services concession agreement.*
  • Represented a Brazilian State-owned technology company in a CAM-CCBC arbitration against a Brazilian State-owned bank regarding a system supply and IT outsourcing project.*
  • Represented private entities before administrative and judicial authorities of different Brazilian States in investigation and litigation proceedings relating to administrative improbity misconduct.*
