Hosking Attends Opening of Singapore International Arbitration Facility
January 2010 – Chaffetz Lindsey partner James Hosking attended the events surrounding the opening of Maxwell Chambers, the new center for international arbitration in Singapore. The opening events coincided with the 2010 Singapore International Arbitration Forum.
Maxwell Chambers is a state-of-the-art facility for conducting international arbitrations and is also home to the Singapore International Arbitration Centre and the regional office for other leading international arbitration organizations such as the International Chamber of Commerce, International Centre for Dispute Resolution and London Court of International Arbitration. Many prominent Singaporean and international barristers also maintain chambers there.
Singapore plays an increasingly important role as a preferred venue for arbitration of disputes arising throughout Asia. Chaffetz Lindsey is currently representing a client in an arbitration in Singapore under the Singapore International Arbitration Centre rules. Often working together with other lawyers in the region, we value the opportunity to be part of this dynamic and important arbitration market.
