April 2021 – On May 5th – 6th, Aníbal Sabater and Yasmine Lahlou will each speak at the ABA’s Section of International Law Arbitration Skills Masterclass, a hands-on training program designed to help students and practitioners develop arbitral skills. During the two-day virtual conference, each participant will have the opportunity to learn and practice the best methods, techniques and dos and don’ts for conducting a merits hearing, plus conduct cross-examination and re-direct examination of witnesses (‘played’ by law school students) and experts (‘played’ by damages experts from prominent consultancy firms).
In addition to the practice and feedback sessions, Aníbal and Yasmine will also participate in panel discussions. On Wednesday, May 5th (11:30am – 12:30pm EST) Aníbal is speaking on a panel about “Plenary Presentation on Cross-Examining and Redirecting Fact Witnesses.” On Thursday, May 6th (9:00am – 9:30am EST) Yasmine is moderating a panel discussion titled, “Plenary Presentation on Cross-Examining and Redirecting Expert Witnesses.”
