Aníbal Sabater Spoke at Asia ADR Week 2026 in Kuala Lumpur

October 2026 – Chaffetz Lindsey’s Aníbal Sabater was a featured speaker at Asia ADR Week 2026, hosted by the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The conference brought together leading arbitration practitioners, arbitrators, judges, and academics from across Asia and around the world to discuss developments and emerging issues in international dispute resolution.

Aníbal participated in Session 1, “Enforcing Arbitral Awards Against States: Insights from The Government of India v Vedanta Ltd,” which took place on Thursday, October 15, 2026. The panel explored the enforcement of arbitral awards against sovereign states through the lens of the landmark Vedanta decision, examining its implications for international arbitration, sovereign immunity, and award recognition and enforcement.

Aníbal, who is a Member of the AIAC Court of Arbitration, was joined by Nereen Kaur Veriah (Messrs Atma Singh Veriah & Co), Ko Luen Lam (Shook Lin & Bok), Huey Miin Ooi (Raja, Darryl & Loh), Kunal Vajani (Chambers of Kunal Vajani and Member, AIAC Court of Arbitration), Dato’ Nitin Nadkarni (Lee Hishammuddin Allen & Gledhill), and YA Dato’ Lee Swee Seng (Federal Court of Malaysia).
