Aníbal Sabater to Moderate NYIAC Webinar on Venezuela’s Oil Sector Reform, Investment Risks, and Opportunities

August 2026 — Chaffetz Lindsey’s Aníbal Sabater will participate as a moderator and speaker in the New York International Arbitration Center’s (NYIAC) NYIAC Talks Podcast Series: Spotlight on International Arbitration in Latin America webinar, “Venezuela’s Oil Sector — New Law, New Risks, New Opportunities,” taking place on Wednesday, September 2.

Aníbal will join a discussion examining how Venezuela’s debt, recent hydrocarbons reform, and evolving OFAC licensing regime are reshaping the country’s energy and investment landscape. The program will explore the legal, commercial, and dispute resolution implications of these developments, as well as the risks and opportunities they present for investors and industry participants.

In the session hosted by Rekha Rangachari (NYIAC Executive Director), Aníbal will be co-moderating with Noiana Marigo (Freshfields). Aníbal and Noiana will be joined by speakers Elisabeth Eljuri, (Independent Arbitrator & Energy Specialist), and Matthew Vodola (Jefferies).
