Aníbal Sabater to Moderate Panel at Chartered Institute of Arbitrators Event

June 2015 – Chaffetz Lindsey partner Aníbal Sabater will be moderating “The Americanization of International Arbitration is a Good Thing” debate panel at the upcoming CIArb North American Branch’s one-day conference focusing on the challenges of arbitrating in North America.  Aníbal will be joined by panelists Louise Barrington (FCIArb), Kathleen Paisley (FCIArb, Ambos NBGO), and Maria Chedid (Baker & McKenzie).

The conference – themed “Arbitrating in North America – Now and Tomorrow” – has been organized in celebration of the Centenary of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.  Taking place at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law on June 11, 2015, the event will feature dynamic speakers from across North America who will be addressing topics including status of international commercial arbitration in North America, the common law/civil law divide in arbitration, practical pointers on how to arbitrate in California and various emerging trends in North American arbitrations. The keynote speaker for the conference will be the President of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Charles Brown.
