Caline Mouawad Joins 2024 International Bar Association Conference Panel

September 2024—Chaffetz Lindsey’s Caline Mouawad will join the panel “A new Hague convention on jurisdiction and parallel claims: a gamechanger in international dispute resolution” at the annual International Bar Association conference taking place in Mexico City on Wednesday, September 18^th.

The session will give a perspective on the work of the Hague Conference’s jurisdiction project which, following the success of the Choice of Courts Convention and the Judgments Convention, is now working on a new instrument on parallel proceedings. It will examine the potential impact of any new convention in the context of growing jurisdictional protectionism.

Caline will be speaking along with Victor Corzo (Consulate General of Mexico), Professor Fausto Pocar (University of Milan), and Ben Roe (Baker McKenzie). The session chair is Sara Chisholm-Batten (Michelmores).
