June 2010 – The Chaffetz Lindsey international arbitration team received firm-wide and individual recognition in the latest Chambers USA guide to America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. Based on client and peer feedback, the editors noted that “this new boutique is fast establishing a name for itself in the international arbitration sector.” The guide referred to the “team of talented lawyers” that boasts an “impressive and growing client list.” The guide noted Chaffetz Lindsey’s experience in both international commercial arbitration and investor-state arbitrations.
In addition to the firm being recognized, partners David Lindsey and James Hosking were singled out for praise by the Chambers researchers. David was recognized as a “star individual” noted for his ability to “adapt to any scenario brilliantly.” James was identified as “up and coming,” while clients described him as “a wonderful lawyer who produces a top-notch work product.” Chaffetz Lindsey’s international arbitration team last year handled over 20 arbitration matters, involving around 15 jurisdictions and with more than $1.5 billion in dispute. The Chambers USA review noted current ICC, SIAC and ICSID arbitrations, but the lawyers have handled disputes under the rules of all the leading arbitral institutions and also sit as arbitrators.
