Drew Poplinger to Speak on Fall ARIAS Conference Panel

November 2023—Chaffetz Lindsey’s Drew Poplinger will join the panel “Does London market reinsurance cover U.S. “all sums” losses?” during the 2023 Fall ARIAS Conference taking place November 9^th-10^th in New York City. The breakout session will be held once on Thursday afternoon and another on Friday morning.

Andrew will join Chris Foster (HFW) and Robert Hall (Hall Arbitrations) for a discussion moderated by Seema Misra (Arch Insurance Group). The group will discuss the May 2023 Second Circuit decision in the ICSOP v. Equitas case, which has since spawned a transatlantic debate. The recurring issue has significant implications for US cedents and London-market reinsurers facing traditional long-tail asbestos and environmental losses, as well as emerging perils like PFAS. The group will present both sides of the issue and explore related topics, including how it could be resolved in arbitration.
