Yasmine Lahlou is Promoted to Partner

Where Advocacy Meets Business

December 2014 – Chaffetz Lindsey is proud to announce that Yasmine Lahlou has been promoted from counsel to partner.

Yasmine has been with the firm since shortly after it was established. She advises and represents a variety of clients before international arbitration tribunals on a range of commercial disputes and in related U.S. litigation. Her recent experience includes representing an Italian company in an ICC arbitration and ancillary U.S. court proceedings against a Spanish contractor in a construction dispute over a project in Guatemala; a U.S. company in arbitration against Hong Kong-based companies over breaches of a distribution agreement; and a Brazilian client in an arbitration against international financial institutions arising out of alleged breaches of finance restructuring agreements. She also has acted as sole and co-arbitrator in ICC and SCC arbitrations.

Yasmine is fluent in English, French and Italian. She began her career in Paris at Castaldi Mourre & Partners before joining Clifford Chance in New York in 2005. She attended a graduate program at the University of Texas at Austin Law School and received a Maîtrise en Droit from Paris X – Nanterre University. Her growing stature is evidenced by leadership roles in key industry organizations, including as co-chair of the American Bar Association’s Section of International Law’s International Litigation Committee and a member of the Regional Coordinating Committee for the ICC’s Young Arbitrators Forum.

Yasmine’s promotion reflects Chaffetz Lindsey’s ongoing investment in its international arbitration practice, and follows partner Steven Reisberg’s recruitment and a number of important associate hires in 2014.
