Yasmine Lahlou Looks At International Arbitration From Start to Finish

October 2012 – Chaffetz Lindsey Counsel, Yasmine Lahlou, recently joined a panel to discuss the ins and outs of international arbitration at the American Bar Association Section of International Law 2012 Fall Meeting. The panelists engaged in a practical discussion about the different stages of an international arbitration, from the preparation of the request for arbitrration to the complexities associated with obtaining and presenting evidence, cross-examination, and enforcement of awards.

Yasmine has represented clients in a broad range of disputes before a variety of arbitration venues under the ICC, ICDR, NAI, FINRA and UNCITRAL Rules, and has sat as an arbitrator for the ICC and SCC. Most recently, Yasmine was part of the team that represented a Brazilian private equity firm in a loan-related dispute against one of the world’s largest hedge funds.
