Alex has a wide array of experience litigating complex commercial disputes. He has litigated claims involving business torts such as fraud, misappropriation of trade secrets, and unfair competition, as well as claims for breach of contract, shareholder oppression, and breach of fiduciary duties. Alex has represented plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal court, and claimants and respondents in arbitration proceedings. His clients include individuals and corporate clients, domestic and international.

Before joining Chaffetz Lindsey, Alex clerked at the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Representative Matters

  • Defending our client from claims of fraud arising out of the sale of their business worth hundreds of millions of dollars.
  • Defending a claim for breach of a reinsurance contract in which the plaintiff seeks over $100 million in damages.
  • Counseling a client regarding its right to purchase its counterparty’s share in a joint venture based on the counterparty’s breach of contract.
