Ana’s practice focuses on complex commercial arbitration and litigation matters, with experience in the construction and mining sectors.

Experience

Prior to joining Chaffetz Lindsey, Ana worked for two leading firms in Santiago, Chile, where she acquired representative experience in dispute resolution, corporate and M&A, as well as antitrust matters and has also served as Tribunal Secretary in arbitration proceedings before the Chilean Arbitration and Mediation Center of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce. She holds a law degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and an LL.M. from Columbia Law School. Ana is fluent in English, German, and Spanish, and has also studied French.

Representative Matters

  • Represented a Chilean engineering consulting firm in an arbitration before the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce concerning damages arising from breach of a service contract.*
  • Represented a Chilean construction company in an arbitration before the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce against a client for failure to timely pay the contract price and additional construction costs.*
  • Represented a Chilean company in litigation against a Chilean mining company for damages arising from the damage, loss, and theft of equipment.*
  • Member of the team representing a client in a high-profile securities market fraud investigation and related administrative sanctioning proceedings before the Chilean Securities Market Regulator.*
  • Advised the Chilean branch of a multinational retail company on the comprehensive restructuring of its contractual framework for supplier and client agreements, including service provision, the purchase and sale of goods, and transportation contracts.*
