

Carlos’ practice focuses on international arbitration, encompassing both commercial and investment treaty disputes. He has advised clients in proceedings before ICC, ICSID, and UNCITRAL tribunals, particularly in matters involving the energy sector.
Prior to joining Chaffetz Lindsey, Carlos practiced at LEGA Abogados, a leading law firm in Caracas, Venezuela, where he focused on dispute resolution and corporate matters. He represented multinational clients in ICC and ICSID proceedings involving Venezuela’s state-owned entities and advised on award enforcement, and sanctions issues. Carlos graduated in the top five of his class from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, where he also served as a law professor from 2022 to 2024. Additionally, Carlos earned a Bachelor of Laws from Universidad de Nebrija in Madrid, Spain.
