March 2026 – Chaffetz Lindsey’s Yasmine Lahlou will participate in the panel “From Appointment to Award: Navigating Expedited Arbitration” on March 26th, as part of Paris Arbitration Week (PAW) 2026.
The session, organized by the Rising Arbitrators Initiative (RAI), will examine how expedited proceedings are reshaping the tempo of arbitration. As institutions introduce fast-track mechanisms and users increasingly prioritize efficiency—particularly in lower-value or default-based disputes—arbitrators must be prepared to adapt to evolving expectations.
The panel will feature representatives from key arbitral institutions, including contributors to the ICC Taskforce on Expedited Procedures, alongside rising arbitrators sharing firsthand experience navigating expedited cases.
Yasmine will be joined by speakers Hafez Virjee (Delos Dispute Resolution), Marily Paralika (Fieldfisher), Saba Mollaian (Swiss Arbitration Centre), and Knud Jacob Knudsen (Knudsen Arbitration).
The discussion will explore the unique challenges and practical considerations of expedited arbitration, including appointment processes, institutional practices, and strategies for managing time and costs. It will also highlight what these developments mean for the next generation of arbitrators.
