Jennifer Gorskie Leads Discussion on International Arbitration in Latin America
September 2013 – Counsel Jennifer Gorskie led the tertulia session at the 11th Annual International Center for Dispute Resolution (ICDR) conference on International Dispute Resolution in the Americas in Miami. Chaffetz Lindsey was also proud to sponsor the event, which is an important date on the annual calendar of activities focused on understanding trends in dispute resolution in Latin America.
In the tertulia sessions, conference participants debate and discuss hot topics in arbitration law. This year’s sessions covered “Disclosures, Deliberations, and Dissents.” Jennifer and co-reporter Stephen Anway provided the annual tertulia “report” summarizing the sessions.
Jennifer is a fluent Spanish speaker, who has spent much of her career focused on resolving international commercial disputes involving companies based in or investing in Latin America. Her experience includes representing the Argentine government as well as various Latin American energy, gas, and mining companies in commercial and investment treaty disputes.
While in Miami, Jennifer also participated in a panel entitled “Femme arbitration: women on top in international arbitration” which offered advice to Miami practitioners looking to develop careers in the field.
