Alan Lipkin to Speak at Brazilian American Symposium for Corporate and Insolvency Law

May 2025—Chaffetz Lindsey’s Alan Lipkin will join the panel “Bankruptcy and Equalization of the Debtor’s and Creditors’ Interests: What Are the Checks and Balances in the Bankruptcy Systems of the US and Brazil?” for Fordham Law School’s event “Brazilian American Symposium for Corporate and Insolvency Law” taking place May 28^th-May 29^th in New York City.

Alan will join Justice João Otávio de Noronha and University of São Paulo’s Professor Oreste Laspro for the discussion.

The event aims to create a dialogue between Brazilian and American lawyers, professors, and judges, promoting the exchange of experiences and strengthening transnational collaboration between academies and judiciaries in both countries, with emphasis on changes to Brazilian Law brought by law 14.112/2020 on Transnational Insolvency and Chapter 15 of the U.S. Bankruptcy code.
