Anibal Sabater and May Khoury Co-Author “Economic Sanctions and Arbitration: A Practical Guide for Parties, Counsel and Arbitrators”

November 2023—Chaffetz Lindsey’s Anibal Sabater and May Khoury contributed to “Economic Sanctions and Arbitration: A Practical Guide for Parties, Counsel and Arbitrators” recently released by the International Association of Lawyers (UIA).

The guide walks arbitration users through the do’s and don’ts when economic sanctions affect an international arbitration and includes chapters providing an overview on the impact of sanctions on arbitral proceedings, parties, counsel, arbitrators, institutions, third parties, and enforcement proceedings.

Additional authors include Elena Gillis, Marc Henry, Vladimir Khvalei, Silvestre Tandeau de Marsac, Delphine Wietek and Jane Willems.  The editors of the guide are Andrea Carlevaris and Veit Öhlberger.
