Chaffetz Lindsey’s Aníbal Sabater Contributes to Harvard Arbitration Review

Where Advocacy Meets Business

June 2026 – Chaffetz Lindsey’s Aníbal Sabater contributed to the third edition of the HIALSA Arbitration Review (HAR), published by the Harvard International Arbitration Law Students Association (HIALSA). HAR is the first arbitration-focused publication edited by students at Harvard Law School.

In his article “Incredible Witnesses: A Look At The Main Reasons Why Tribunals Do Not Believe Some Testimony”, Aníbal explores the key patterns that arbitral tribunals rely on when assessing witness credibility, including conflicts of interest, shifting testimony, selective memory, and lack of documentary support. Aníbal underscores the importance of careful witness vetting, cautioning that a single unreliable witness can cast doubt on an entire case.

This year’s edition brings together leading voices in international arbitration and dispute resolution, with contributions from distinguished academics and practitioners from around the world, including Diego P. Fernández Arroyo, Bruno Simma, Jose Roberto de Castro Neves, Gitanjali Baja, Daniela Bambaci, Emilio Garcia Silver, Joanne Lau, Rahim Moloo, Giuditta Cordero-Moss, Michele Miozzo, Claudia Frutos-Peterson, Njeri Kariuki, S.C., C.Arb, FCIArb., FCPSK and Philippe Sands.
