Gretta Walters to Speak at 2023 AIJA Half-Year Conference

May 2023 – Chaffetz Lindsey’s Gretta Walters will speak at the 2023 AIJA Half-Year Conference taking place in The Hague, Netherlands on Thursday, May 25^th. Gretta will join Vincenzo Palmisano (PBC Legal), Edward Taylor (Shearman and Sterling) and Diederik Van Tuyll (Höcker advocaten) for the session titled “Access to Justice, Right to a Fair Trial, Consent to Arbitration – Ensuring Everyone’s Right to a Day in Court”.

The session will address potential hurdles for a party’s access to justice and right to a fair trial, such as costs, procedural tactics and (social) media influencing. In addition, the question of what constitutes valid consent to arbitration will be investigated. Marijn De Ruysscher (LYDIAN) will moderate the discussion.
