James Hosking and Gretta Walters Attend the FDI Moot in Miami

November 2019 – James Hosking and Gretta Walters are attending the Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot (FDI Moot) in Miami. The FDI Moot annually brings aspiring lawyers from around the world together for a competition that spans approximately six months in two phases: written memorials for claimant and respondent and the hearing of oral argument. This weekend’s event features the hearing of oral argument at the University of Miami.

The FDI Moot aims to help future lawyers attain a practical understanding of international law that defines obligations between host States and foreign investors, and the procedures for resolving related disputes. The case and hearings offer a unique forum for academics and practitioners from around the world to discuss developments and assess emerging talents.

James serves on the FDI Moot Advisory Board, and Gretta acts as a coach.
