January 2020 – Chaffetz Lindsey foreign associate Marcel Engholm Cardoso recently authored a book, “Arbitragem e Financiamento por Terceiros,” which translates to “Arbitration and Third Party Funding.” Written in Portuguese, the book provides a legal analysis of third party funding under Brazilian law, as well as the various impacts it could have on the arbitration process. Marcel is a foreign associate visiting from Souto Correa Advogados in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The book is published by L.O. Baptista Advogados, a leading law firm in Brazil, and Almedina Brasil, a leading publisher on international law in the region. L.O. Baptista Advogados will host a book launch event on Thursday, February 13th in Sao Paulo.
