Common Sources of Boardroom Disputes Around the World

April 2013 – Chaffetz Lindsey Counsel Jennifer Gorskie recently participated in a panel at the IBA Litigation Forum in Istanbul that discussed the most common causes of Board related disputes in private and public companies around the world. While in Istanbul, Jennifer also spoke at a seminar hosted by Mehmet Gun & Partners, which looked at the challenges faced by Turkish companies doing business abroad, including the issues associated with the enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitral awards in New York. Recent law has expanded the ability of judgment creditors to reach assets outside the United States, creating opportunities for foreign creditors and risks for judgment debtors.
