Lidia Rezende Organizes ASIL Annual Meeting Panel “Regulating States’ Sovereign Rights under Today’s Global Challenges”

March 2023— Chaffetz Lindsey’s Lidia Rezende sits on the organizing committee of the upcoming American Society of International Law (ASIL) 2023 Annual Meeting taking place March 29^th-April 1^st. Lidia will be organizing the panel titled “Regulating States’ Sovereign Rights under Today’s Global Challenges” taking place on Friday, March 31^st at 12pm as part of the “Transnational Litigation, Arbitration, and Dispute Resolution” track.

Panelists Crina Baltag (Stockholm University), Nikhil Gore (Covington & Burling), Viren Mascarenhas (MilBank), Luciana Ricart (Curtis-Prevost, Colt & Mosle), and Benjamin Kantor (Columbia Law School) will explore sovereign immunity and the State’s right to regulate access to its territory under new global circumstances that have led to renewed challenges to the limits of these principles.
