November 2021 – Legal 500 recently released their 2022 Latin America rankings, and Chaffetz Lindsey continues to stand out as the only New York-based boutique recognized for International Arbitration disputes amongst an elite field of firms. ENERAP Launches NY Chapter with Oct 19th Webinar on Global Energy Market and Regulatory Impact on NY Practitioners

Aníbal Sabater to Speak About International Construction Arbitrations at ICDR Y&I

September 2021 – On Tuesday, September 14th, Aníbal Sabater will participate in a panel discussion titled, “International Construction Arbitration: Core Concepts for Arbitration Practitioners – Webinar 3: Changes/Variations” hosted by ICDR Y&I. Anibal will join Fatima Balfaqeeh, Shona Frame, Rouven Bodenheimer and Santiago Peña to discuss key issues involving change orders and variation claims in construction disputes, including how they arise and the consequences of those changes. The panelists will also address related issues such as notices and value engineering.

August 2021 – The recently released Chambers & Partners 2022 Latin America ranking once again lists and commends only one boutique for international arbitration:  Chaffetz Lindsey. Legal 500 USA Recognizes Chaffetz Lindsey as the Premier Boutique for Insurance Disputes and International Arbitration

June 2021 – The Legal 500 USA 2021 Rankings are out and Chaffetz Lindsey was again recognized as the premier boutique firm for International Arbitration and Insurance disputes.

Referees noted that Chaffetz Lindsey “has the agility of a boutique outfit with the intellectual heft of a legal leviathan.” The firm was further recognized as having a “[s]mall, highly dynamic and extremely knowledgeable team, specializing in the conduct of complex commercial litigation and insurance/reinsurance disputes and US domestic as well as international arbitration.”

The firm’s Insurance practice was promoted to Tier 2 in the Insurance: Advice to Insurers ranking.  Among the 26 firms ranked in the practice area, Chaffetz Lindsey is the only boutique. Aníbal Sabater and Yasmine Lahlou to Serve as Faculty at the 2021 ABA’s Section of International Law Arbitration Skills Masterclass

April 2021 – On May 5th – 6th, Aníbal Sabater and Yasmine Lahlou will each speak at the ABA’s Section of International Law Arbitration Skills Masterclass, a hands-on training program designed to help students and practitioners develop arbitral skills. During the two-day virtual conference, each participant will have the opportunity to learn and practice the best methods, techniques and dos and don’ts for conducting a merits hearing, plus conduct cross-examination and re-direct examination of witnesses (‘played’ by law school students) and experts (‘played’ by damages experts from prominent consultancy firms).

In addition to the practice and feedback sessions, Aníbal and Yasmine will also participate in panel discussions. On Wednesday, May 5th (11:30am – 12:30pm EST) Aníbal is speaking on a panel about “Plenary Presentation on Cross-Examining and Redirecting Fact Witnesses.” On Thursday, May 6th (9:00am – 9:30am EST) Yasmine is moderating a panel discussion titled, “Plenary Presentation on Cross-Examining and Redirecting Expert Witnesses.”
