Yasmine Lahlou to Speak on Arbitration and Anti-Suit Injunctions at IBA Milan 2025
October 2025 — Chaffetz Lindsey’s Yasmine Lahlou will serve as a panelist at the 5th IBA Litigation Committee Conference on Private International Law, to be held October 2–3, 2025 in Milan.
Her session, “Arbitration and Anti-Suit Injunctions After UniCredit — A New Frontier?”, will explore the evolving landscape of anti-suit and anti-enforcement injunctions in arbitration following UniCredit Bank GmbH v RusChemAlliance LLC. The panel will take a comparative approach across jurisdictions, including:
- Developments in England, notably changes under the Arbitration Act 2025
- Responses in the EU, such as “anti-anti-suit injunctions” and their operation under the Brussels Ia Regulation
- Case law from Asia and the U.S., including nuances involving third-party affiliates and enforcement protections
