Chaffetz Lindsey Sponsors ICDR Book Event at Moot in London

Where Advocacy Meets Business

November 2011 – Over 150 people attended an event on November 5 in London, of which Chaffetz Lindsey was one of the sponsors.  The cocktail reception was held to mark the launch earlier this year of the first treatise written on the American Arbitration Association’s International Rules.  The book is co-authored by Chaffetz Lindsey partner James Hosking.

Published by Oxford University Press, A Guide to the ICDR International Arbitration Rules, is part of Oxford’s series of essential books for arbitration practitioners.  All three authors – Martin Gusy, James Hosking and Franz Schwarz – were on hand in London to celebrate the book’s success.

The book continues to receive strong reviews, including recent coverage in the Fall edition of the New York State Bar Association’s  New York Dispute Resolution Lawyer.  A copy of the review can be read here.

The London  reception was timed to coincide with the 4th annual FDI Moot, in which participants from law schools around the world moot an investment treaty dispute.  James was involved as an arbitrator.
