September 2012 – Partner James Hosking is quoted in a recent article in China Business Law Journal, which examines the challenges faced by Chinese companies involved in commercial disputes in foreign jurisdictions. With the growth in Chinese outbound investment, Chinese companies are having to come to grips with heightened litigation risk in certain countries, particularly the U.S., and the need to develop strategies to deal with these risks and disputes when they arise. James comments in the article “Resolution Revolution” on the growing use of litigation proceedings in parallel with arbitration as part of a strategy to gain access to documents, attach assets etc.
